SHE IS HERE!!! FINALLY!!

Introducing .... Claire Lynne Shideler, she was born on Feb 22 at 6:30 a.m. She was 5lbs 13 ounces and 18 1/2 inches long! I never thought she would come, but unexpectedly Last Monday night my water broke 9 days early. I was hoping it would break early but didn't expect it then. We have been staying down in a trailor during calfing season so we can check on the mama cows in the night. Well, I just headed down from my house to meet Spencer at the trailor and he was pitching up hay. I started to walk towards him and thought I peed my pants. It was the wierdest feeling and i'm sure I had the funniest look on my face as I told him I thought my water just broke. I wasn't sure if it was for real because I had been dreaming about this day for a long time now! We went in the trailor and began to play the game Scrabble as I sat and wondered if I should go to the hospital, if it was in my head, or what to do. I called my sister and she told me I better go to the hospital. I wasn't having any contractions so we continued to play the game. Finally I decided this was the real thing and we headed for the hospital about 10:30. I was very calm surprisingly as Spencer drove me to the hospital. They got me in a room and all situated. I had my mind made up I was going to get an epideral. I still didn't have many contractions but was dialated to a 4 and 90 percent effaced. They gave me the epideral about 3:30 and about 6:00 it was pushing time. The epideral wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but it was for Spencer. Poor guy passed out! It was not funny at the time, it was very tramatizing to me seeing my husband hit the floor. We now kid about it, he felt so stupid but he shouldn't. We still don't know why he passed out I think he was just nervous seeing me in pain and getting my epideral. I was in labor for about 25 minutes and Beautiful Baby Claire came into the world at 6:30 a.m. It was the most amazing experience and feeling as I saw her for the first time. She was healthy and has been such a great baby! We are so blessed as parents to have this sweet baby girl in our home. Spencer is the cutest dad, and she adores him. I love watching him as a father, he is always kissing, talking, and holding her! This morning as I got out of the shower I sat and watched him for a while and he was reading his book to her. He is such a good dad. Here is our first family picture!!
